چکیده
Abstract Background Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a common malignant tumor with poor prognosis. We aimed to identify new prognostic model of HCC based on differentially expressed (DE) immune genes. Methods The DE genes were identified an analysis 374 cases and 50 adjacent non-tumor specimens from the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. Univariate Cox analysis, Lasso regression, multivariate used construct training group. Survival receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves evaluate performance. testing group entire subsequently for validation model. Results A five-immune gene consisted HSPA4, ISG20L2, NDRG1, EGF, IL17D was identified. Based model, overall survival significantly different between high-risk low-risk groups ( P = 7.953e-06). AUCs at 1- 3-year 0.849 0.74, respectively. reliability confirmed using groups. risk score as independent parameter closely related content cells human specimens. Conclusion that can be marker HCC.

platinum sensitivity as an independent prognostic factor in patients with brain metastases from ovarian carcinoma
background : the brain is a rare site of metastases from ovarian cancer. limited data are available on prognostic factors, standard treatment, and survival. knowledge of clinical prognostic factors would help the management of patients with brain metastases. the aim of this study is to evaluate the impact of clinical factors and treatment modalities on survival in patients with brain metastases...
متن کاملAstrocyte elevated gene-1 overexpression in hepatocellular carcinoma: an independent prognostic factor
PURPOSE Astrocyte elevated gene-1 (AEG-1) plays important roles in tumorigenesis such as proliferation, invasion, metastasis, angiogenesis, and chemoresistance. We examined the expression of AEG-1 in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). METHODS Eighty-five samples were collected from patients with HCC who underwent surgery and were histopathologically confirmed to have HCC. Two indep...
متن کاملIdentification of intragenic methylation in the TUSC1 gene as a novel prognostic marker of hepatocellular carcinoma.
Patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) have a poor prognosis, and novel molecular targets for treating recurrence and progression of the disease along with associated biomarkers are urgently required. In the present study, expression and the regulatory mechanism of TUSC1 (tumor suppressor candidate 1) were investigated to determine if it is a candidate tumor suppressor gene for HCC, which...
متن کاملHigh expression of angiogenic factor AGGF1 is an independent prognostic factor for hepatocellular carcinoma
Background Angiogenesis plays a critical role in tumor growth and metastasis. Angiogenic factor with G patch and FHA domains 1 (AGGF1) has been recently identified as a novel initiator of angiogenesis. However, the function and the prognostic values of AGGF1 in hepatocellular carcinoma remain poorly understood. Our aim is to provide more information to assist design the angiogenesis therapy tha...
متن کاملSLC2A2 (GLUT2) as a novel prognostic factor for hepatocellular carcinoma
High rates of glucose transport via solute carrier (SLC2A, GLUT) family members are required to satisfy the high metabolic demands of cancer cells, and because of this characteristic of cancer cells 2-18fluoro-deoxy-D-glucose (18FDG)-PET has become a powerful diagnostic tool. However, its sensitivity for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is lower than for other malignancies, which suggests SLC2A f...
